We want YOUR WORK for SAGA's spring publication!
We're a few weeks into accepting submissions for our spring publication in 2021! Every year, SAGA produces a paperback magazine of Augustana's best art and writing, from sculptures to scribbled-down coffeeshop poems. Copies of the magazine are free for Augustana students and can be found on the first floor of Old Main.
You can submit three works each in the prose, poetry, and art categories for consideration by January 6th of 2021. We love to see your favorite things to create--short stories, love poems, digital photography--but also the stuff that makes your heart feel happy, even if it's less popular, like flash fiction, absurdist poems, and fiber arts! Have you written a poem where all the letters are scrambled or redacted? Did you make a quilt over quarantine? We want to see it!
And don't start worrying if you work won't be good enough. We aren't here for that kind of attitude, buddy. Even though we have limited publication space in the magazine, any piece that isn't accepted receives a critique from our talented staff of Editors. If you really love a piece, you can even submit it again the next year or submit it to our blog Student Saturdays or Zaga, our zine on campus!
For information on how to submit, click here to get to our submissions page. We can't wait to see what you can create!
